A Pair of French Ormulu Eight Branch Chandeliers , after the model attributed to Charles Boulle , late 19Th century. The volute baluster-shaped central shaft surmounted by an acanthus clad finial framed by 4 putti monopedia terminating in lion paw feet between framed arches enclosing trophies above female masks interspersed with scrolling acanthus-clad candle arms terminating in gadrooned nozzles , above a caged vase and spirally-fluted boss with berried finial. Adapted for electricity and in working order. A third almost Identical Chandelier is available by negotiation .
The present pair of Chandeliers are almost an exact copy of the model attributed to Andre Charles Boulle (1642-1732) which is now in The Louvre (inv .OA5101)
